IWSG, it's easy!

Howdy, Insecure Writers! Happy 2nd birthday! Thanks for showing me the way, Candi! And thanks to the amazing Alex J. Cavanaugh for hosting this awesome group, over three hundred strong! Visit as many as you can! September’s co-hosts are: Chemist Ken http://hogwartssabbatical.blogspot.com/, SL Hennessey http://pensuasion.blogspot.com/, Michelle Wallace http://www.writer-in-transit.co.za/,Joylene Nowell Butler http://cluculzwriter.blogspot.com/.

Another month of living on
a cracked-egg rock crust
wrapped around a ball
of molten lava.
Another month of
cloudy with a chance of
hurricanes, ELEs, supervocanoes,
earthquakes, fire storms,
tsunamis, and sharknados!
It's no wonder I'm insecure.
What makes you insecure?

This month I've spent some time
in my comfort zone.
Yes, writers!
I has been writin' words!
Love, love, love
splashing words on the page.
Borrowing from
the great mystic
John Lennon:
"Nothing you can do
but you can learn
how to be you in time.
It's easy
All you need is love!"
Thanks to all the encouraging words,
o fellow insecure ones!
And Huzzah to
 MPax this month!
She offered some high octane
self-publishing advice!
I learned
to self-publish
I need money.
Not billions and billions,
but a couple of Ks help.
Not crazy impossible $$$.

Okay,
do the math, Brain,
get a better day job!
I applied for two.
The world did not
collapse
around me.
No job yet
but I feel possibilities.

I'm still not sure
if I should self-publish
but I know that it's not
a"pick the prize behind
door number one, and it's
over situation,"
and I am breathing easier.

After three months
with Insecure Writers,
the therapy is kicking in!
Añjali Mudrā or Pranamasana!
I bow and honor you!

Finally, I do all my upbeat
positive blogging
over at
Seize the day.
This is my backyard,
you know, you can't see it
from the street,
and in keeping with
the spirit of the Yellow Submarine,
I write everything here in broken prose,
because, yes, that's how I feel
about the publishing

end of writing
much of the time.

Thanks for dropping by!
In the words of the great poet,
Sir Paul McCartney,
"We all live in a yellow submarine."
